Workshop on applying digital signatures

The Vietnam Chamber of Commerce and Industry (VCCI) and the Ministry of Information and Communication held a workshop in Hanoi on July 23 to help businesses apply digital signatures to their e-commerce activities and to their connection with the e-government.

This is part of a project running from 2006 to 2010 to assist businesses with information technology.

Vice President of the VCCI Pham Gia Tuc said the workshop is a venue for state agencies and companies to exchange information and provides attendees with a comprehensive view of the development and application of digital signatures as well as opportunities and challenges arising from this digital invention.

Participants at the event focused their discussions on the role and necessity of digital signatures, necessary conditions for applying digital signatures, and their practical applications, such as in filing corporate taxes online.
