Phu Yen calls for investment in 34 projects
The southern province of Phu Yen is calling for investment in 34 key projects worth over 3.86 billion USD from now to 2020.
The industrial sector is expected to attract most investment with 12 projects worth 2.465 billion USD.
Of these, the south Phu Yen economic zone and the Hoa Tam petrochemical industrial zone, both in Dong Hoa district, are the biggest projects, requiring 2.3 billion USD.
The provincial authorities also call for investment in garment and textile, footwear, dairy cattle breeding, coconut growing and processing, each project worth between 5 and 30 million USD.
The transportation sector has 4 projects, while the trade and tourism sector offers 8 ones, which will need about 895 million USD and 161 million USD, respectively.
To facilitate investment, Phu Yen has adopted numerous incentives for disadvantaged areas. The province’s leaders also meet with investors once every six months to discuss and solve the latter’s difficulties in production and business.
The province is scheduled to hold an investment promotion conference in Hanoi on October 7. It also plans to launch the Hanoi-Tuy Hoa air routeon October 24 to attract more investors to the province./.
