Using Vietnamese goods to show patriotism

The Party Committee of the Central State Businesses launched the campaign “Vietnamese people prioritize the use of Vietnamese goods” in Hanoi on October 4.

The campaign responds to Vietnamese Entrepreneurs Day and Vinatex Group’s programme “to stand by the side of Vietnamese garment and textile businesses for the sake of our fellowmen living on the country’s islands”.

Addressing the launch ceremony, Politburo member Truong Tan Sang stressed that the world economic downturn is exerting a negative impact on the Vietnamese economy, which requires the Party and State to introduce timely and synchronous policies to curb the economic decline, stabilize the macro-economy, prevent the return of high inflation, ensure social security and maintain economic growth at a reasonable rate.

The campaign is expected to have a long-term significance in strengthening patriotism and self-reliance, and help create many high-quality and competitive Vietnamese goods for both domestic use and export.
