Textile group invests VND6 billion in local goods promotion
The Vietnam National Textile and Garment Group (Vinatex) has planned to spend VND6 billion in a campaign to encourage local people to purchase made-in-Vietnam garment products.
The money will also be used to transport goods to rural areas.
According to Vinatex General Director Vu Duc Giang, the group will develop a distribution network to bring goods to remote areas from now to the year-end.
It will also deduct VND1,000 per garment product to support residents in islands, he added.
The group posted a revenue growth rate in the domestic market of 17-23 percent on the year. It is striving to raise the figure to 28-30 percent.
