Germany’s Bosch to help train auto mechanics

Robert Bosch Vietnam, a subsidiary of the world’s largest supplier of automobile components Robert Bosch GmbH, signed its first automotive training agreement with the local Cao Thang Technical College (CT) on May 19.

Accordingly, Bosch contributes its diagnostic tools and equipment to build up the college’s automotive training capacity.

The German group will also provide free education to six CT trainers so that they can train their students with curricula, content and methodology developed by the company.

The CT is expected to train at least 200 students under the programme every year, said Vo Quang Hue, managing director of Robert Bosch Vietnam. Those who complete the training will have to pass the Automotive Advanced level examination to receive a certificate jointly issued by Bosch and the CT. They will also have the opportunity to participate in internships offered by the company, he added.

Bosch Vietnam enjoyed double-digit growth in the fiscal year 2008.
