Ground broken in Binh Duong for fiber-optic plant
Vietnam Fiber Optic Company will break ground for construction of a plant in Binh Duong Province today.
The US$176 million plant will be the most modern in Southeast Asia, using technology from Israel’s Ultra Pure Core - IJL Ltd.
The company, founded last August, said the four-hectare plant would be the first in Vietnam to produce optic cables from silicate and pure gas, for which there is a huge demand from the domestic telecom industry.
