RoK business invests in expressway project
The Incheon Urban Development Corporation (IUDC) of the Republic of Korea will invest in a build-operate-transfer (BOT) project on construction of the Dau Giay-Lien Khuong expressway.
To this effect, a memorandum of understanding (MOU) has been signed between the Vietnamese Ministry of Transport and Communications and IUDC.
According to the Ministry of Transport and Communications, the ministry together with Dong Nai and Lam Dong provinces will create favourable conditions for IUDC to get information on the project. IUDC is required to provide document proving its financial capacity for relevant agencies to be considered and submitted it to the government within six months.
The 200 km expressway, linking southern Dong Nai and Central Highlands Lam Dong provinces, is expected to be built at a cost of more than 1 billion USD coming from the Asian Development Bank.
The Dau Giay-Lien Khuong expressway, when completed, will be a branch of the trans-Asia road, linking the Central Highlands, sea ports, airports and major industrial zones in the central coastal and southeastern regions and the economic corridor in countries lying in the Mekong expanded region.
