Vietnam-appealing destination: Belgian investors
Belgium’s Flamande region Council member De Buck Marc has said it is not accidental when the council chose Vietnam as an destination for regional investors.
He made the statement at a workshop on investment opportunities in the Vietnamese economy held in Gent capital of the Flamande region, Belgium , on September 3, which drew almost 100 Belgian businesses. It is an annual event held in the region over the past six years.
Marc added that most of Belgian investors doing business in Vietnam are enjoying favourable conditions and strong support from the local administrations.
The workshop would “dig deep into the Vietnamese economy to help Belgian businesses to make the best choices, either China or Vietnam ”, he said.
Vietnamese Ambassador Nguyen Manh Dung highlighted achievements recorded by the country in the recent past, culminating in its average annual economic growth rate of 8.5 percent and a streak of growth in foreign investments.
“Belgian investors are always welcomed to Vietnam where they will enjoy best available conditions to contribute to its economy,” said the diplomat.
Belgian investors agreed on Vietnamese advantages such as political stability, a young and enterprising workforce, industrial and export-processing zones offering favourable conditions, a dynamic private economic sector and a great national economic potential.
