VTO: Explanation for business results in quarter 3/2010

Vietnam Tanker Joint Stock Company (VITACO) (HOSE: VTO) has explained profit after tax of the parent company in quarter 3/2010 decreased 2.46 billion dongs (18%) beside quarter 3/2009 as follows:

In quarter 3/2010, revenue increased 5.4 billion dongs (2.5%). Beside, the number of ships put into operation was more than that in quarter 3/2009, so selling expenses decreased 8% more than that in quarter 3/2009 and gross profit of the parent company increased 17.45 billion dongs. However, there were some adjustment of exchange rate in 2010 and made financial expenses increased higher (About 19.25 billion dongs). Therefore, profit of the parent company decreased in quarter 3/2010.
