VinaPhone slashes Yahoo!SMS messaging service charge

VinaPhone has become the first mobile phone service provider to slash Yahoo!SMS service charges, by cutting 75 percent of Yahoo!SMS messaging service charge for all of its subscribers as from May 1 to Oct. 31.

Accordingly, each message sent from VinaPhone subscribers to Yahoo messengers costs only 500 VND compared to the previous 2,000 VND price.

At present, Yahoo! is used by more than 18 million Vietnamese, catering for 96 percent of demand for chatting in the country.

Yahoo!SMS services help VinaPhone subscribers send and receive Yahoo messages instantly anywhere on mobile devices.

After 15 years of operation, VinaPhone has become the first mobile phone service supplier whose services cover all over Vietnam.

With over 7,000 transmission stations, it currently has 24 million subscribers, and expects to increase the figure to 30 million by the end of this year.
