distributed shares will be rounded down. The fractional shares will be paid in
cash at par value.
For example, if
shareholder A owns 119 shares at the record date, he will receive: 119 x 5% = 5.95
shares. However, because of rounding down, he will receive only 05 new shares
and VND9,500, but he will pay an amount of personal income tax (5% or VND475) to
the state budget, so the fractional share will be worth VND9,025. Therefore,
after deducting tax, shareholder A will really receive 05 shares and VND9,025.
