HLY: Business operational explanation
According to the Financial Statement QIII/2011, profit after tax of QIII/2011 decreased by 99% year on year (VND684,873,212 and VND1,332,405,831 in 2011 and 2010 respectively). Viglacera Ha Long I JSC (HNX: HLY) explained the decrease in operating result in QIII/2011 as follows:
- Because prices of materials and interest expenses increased, the operating results of the Company has been heavily affected, namely:
o Price of dust coal increased by 33%, which decreased income by VND567 million
o Price of electricity increased by 15.7%, which decreased income by VND105 million
o Interest expenses increased, which made financial expenses rise by VND269 million.
