DVD refunds money to investors
From the Vietnam Securities Depository (VSD) and Vien Dong Pharmaceutical Joint Stock Company(HOSE: DVD), total money that investors require to refund is VND69,213,320,000, including:
- Investors who paid money to buy DVD stock through depository accounts: VND63,902,900,000.
- Investors who have not depository accounts yet and the Company’s employees: VND5,310,420,000.
Pursuant to Article 22 of Vietnam Securities Law, DVD has to refund money to investors within 15 days from the receipt of request. Therefore, the State Securities Commission asked DVD to make out a plan to pay money to investors, especially minority shareholders, outside shareholders, to ask the State Securities Commission for advice before executing plan, and to refund money to investors who paid money to buy DVD stock through depository accounts to the account of the Vietnam Securities Depository (VSD) before December 18, 2010. However, until now, DVD has not had any plan as well as not transferred money to VSD’s account so that VSD can refund money to investors.
The Vietnam Securities Commission will continue to co-operate with the Ministry of Public Security's Investigation Agency to withdraw funds to refund money to investors.
