National Assembly considers amendment of tax law
The Standing Committee of the National Assembly yesterday considered a President's draft decree on determining the rates of the profit tax and income tax before the amendment to the tax law.
The monthly meeting of the National Assembly's Standing Committee for November was presided over by Mr. Thongsing Thammavong, President of the National Assembly.
The National Assembly's Standing Committee has considered the approval and exemption in principle on removing the existing barriers of the hydropower development project in Sayaboury province to be in line with laws of the Lao PDR.
The meeting also considered a request for the exemption of the enforcement of some laws that are related to securities and the Lao Security Exchange, and the pardon for prisoners for 2010.
The meeting has also summed up the activities of the Standing Committee of the National Assembly in the second half of this year and reported the readiness for the upcoming 10th Ordinary Session of the National Assembly (sixth legislature).
