Laos, Vietnam enhance cooperation on treasury works

Lao National Treasury and its Vietnamese counterpart have set a cooperation plan for the next three years, stipulating the Vietnamese commitment to providing technical assistance to the Lao National Treasury.

An agreement on such cooperation plan was signed in Vientiane on Sathurday, Nov 13, by Director of the Lao National Treasury Khoungnon Khammany, and Director of the Vietnamese National Treasury Nguyen Thi Dan. Relevant officials of both sides witnessed the signing.

According to the agreement the Vietnamese National Treasury has pledged to provide assistance to the Lao National Treasury in devising and improving legal mechanisms necessary for the implementation of the decree on National Treasury of Laos such as treasury management and administration, the monitoring of treasury spending on public administration and basic infrastructure development projects, improving capacity building for the Lao National Treasury staff, developing database, providing training course on computing skills for the Lao National Treasury staff.
