BAS: Explanation for production activities in H1 2010

Basa Joint Stock Corporation (HoSE: BAS) has explained suspension of operation in quarter 1/2010 and production volume decreased in quarter 2/2010 as follows:

* The loan expenses increased from 14% to 16% and the company met difficulties in its financial activities. Therefore, the company decreased production activities and sold out inventories. Inventories was -22,841,093,189 dongs at the end of quarter 1/2010 (-37,225,637,774 dongs at the beginning 2010) and decreased 14,384,544,585 dongs. Therefore, loan expenses and others decreased in quarter 1/2010.

* The company maintained production activities at low volume to keep market share at the tradition market.
