VIP: Explanation for the business results in H1/2010

Vietnam Petroleum Transport Joint Stock Company (HoSE: VIP) has explained the business result in 06 months 2010 beside 06 months 2009 as follows:

Revenue in 06 months 2010 increased beside revenue in 06 months 2009 because petrol trading increased 66,622,795,025 dongs and transport trading increased 63,036,182,716 dong.

Profit in 06 months 2010 decreased beside profit in 06 months 2009 because:

- Number of ships hired by Vietnam National Petroleum Corporation decreased.

- Some ships were in regularly maintenance. The fuel expenses increased but freight increased to negligible rate.

- The company made a provision for exchange difference for a loan of 10 billion dongs in 06 months 2010.
