Central province gets $4b tourism project

The central province of Quang Nam has granted a licence to US firms Tanoi Capital LLC and Global C&D Inc to build a US$4.15 billion eco-tourism zone in Dien Duong Commune, Dien Ban District.

According to provincial authorities, work on the Dragon Beach complex, the biggest FDI tourism project in the central region, will start next year.

Tano Capital’s general director Charles Johnson said the project included a $2.7 billion deluxe hotel, a $500 million entertainment complex, a $300 million conference centre with 10,000 seats, a $300 million trade centre and a $350 million apartment building and villas on 400ha of park land.

The company had already committed to a deposit of $4 million to ensure the implementation of the project.

Tano Capital specialises in investments in India and mainland China. It also has offices in Shanghai, Hong Kong; Taipei, Mauritius and Mumbai.
