Capital welcomes 300 firms for week-long trade expo
Over 300 local and international enterprises will showcase their products at this year’s Ha Noi International Fair (Ha Noi Expo), set to open its doors on Thursday at the Viet Nam Exhibition and Fair Centre in Ha Noi.
The six-day fair would not only be a good chance for businesses to advertise their products and services but also a bridge linking Vietnamese enterprises and international economic and trade organisations, creating export, trade and investment opportunities, said Nguyen Van Dong, deputy director of the Ha Noi Department of Industry and Trade, the event organiser.
It would also create a chance for local consumers to access quality products and services from dynamic economies such as South Korea, Taiwan, India, Malaysia and South Africa, he said.
Agricultural products, hi-tech and processing technology, garments and leather, electrics, electronic goods, construction materials, handicrafts, engines, automobiles, property, finance and banking services will all be on display.
Topping the events list is the business matching foodstuff and agricultural suppliers from northern provinces and the capital’s wholesaler and retailers. The event intends to meet increasing local demand for food and foodstuffs during the approaching Tet holiday (traditional lunar new year) and to promote trade exchanges among domestic firms.
The programme will also include trade promotion activities, seminars and business meetings for local and foreign firms to exchange views and experiences as well as to help promote local trademarks.
Last year’s fair featured 500 booths run by almost 300 local and international businesses.
