VTO: Explanation for the business result in quarter 2/2009

Vietnam Tanker Joint Stock Company (VTO: VITACO) has explained the business fluctuation between quarter 2/2009 and quarter 1/2009 as follows:

* In the financial statements of quarter 2/2009, profit before tax reached VND10,046,507,265; increased 209.5% in comparison with quarter 1/2009 (VND3,246,031,445).

* The main reasons: Transport activities got effective; exploitation of cargo ships was fairly good, ships ran incessantly and time of waiting cargo decreased. Besides, 02 ships were put into service in quarter 2 which made revenue stable and decreased exploited expenses:

* Revenue of the transport activities in quarter 2 increased about VND8.28 billion in comparison with that in quarter 1.

* Expenses decreased in quarter 2, especially fuel expenses decreased VND10.21 billion by saving fuel.
