GIL: Explanation for business result in Q2/09

Binh Thanh Import-Export Production and Trade Joint Stock Company (GIL) has explained business result in Q2/09 as follows:

Sales in Q2/09 increased 22.7% compared to that in Q1/09. After-tax profit also increased 48.3%.

Reason:

- In Q2/09, the company produced products with high value

- Material in stock was bought at low price. This led to increase of profit.

- The company had sold stocks at reasonable price.
