The Vietnamese Embassy in Hungary has worked with the Croatian Chamber of Trade and Economy to hold a seminar on business cooperation with Vietnam in Zagreb, Croatia.
At the seminar, Miroslav Karamarkovic from the Croatian Chamber of Trade and Economy said that trade relations since 2003 have developed quickly in many fields. He also proposed focusing on ports, energy, telecommunications, the chemicals and pharmaceuticals industries, aquatic products, oil exploitation and tourism.
The Vietnamese ambassador to both Hungary and Croatia, Nguyen Quoc Dung, delivered a speech to explain in general the development of Vietnam’s economy, the impact of the current financial crisis and steps forward for the Vietnamese government to increase investments in the fields of energy, information, telecommunications and transportation.
Mentioning the potential development of the relationship between the two countries, Mr. Dung said they both have advantages that could be beneficial to each other. Croatian businesses are able to take part in projects on infrastructure such as consultancies, design and technology.
Mr. Dung suggested that Croatian businesses would enter the Vietnamese market by promoting trade cooperation with Vietnamese enterprises through seminars and exhibitions in Vietnam.
