Tien Giang to export blue dragon to China, Middle East

Nearly 200 tonnes of blue dragon are being packaged in the southern province of Tien Giang to be exported to China and Middle East countries.

As many as 190 tonnes will be exported to China, and the remaining to Middle East, Tran Huu Danh, head of a local packing unit said on July 17.

“We have recently received a lot of orders from China, Hong Kong (China), the US, and Middle Eastern countries for blue dragon, but we can’t meet all of them not afford all of them,” he said.

Farmers in Cho Gao district in Tien Giang province are carrying out a project that aims to grow 100 hectares of blue dragon meeting the Global GAP (Good Agricultural Practices) standard.
