Cu Lao Tao petrol and oil tank depot inaugurated

PetroVietnam Oil Corporation (PV Oil) officially inaugurated Cu Lao Tao petrol and oil tanks with the capacity of 150,000 m3 in Vung Tau city, Ba Ria-Vung Tau province on June 2.

Cu Lao Tao oil tank depot consists of a 6-tank system, a harbour (which can receive 50,000 DWT ships), a 5-km long underground pipe system from the harbour to the depot, a wharf system, a fire prevention and fighting system and so on.

The depot has the functions of storing petrol and kerosene products from Dung Quat oil refinery and other sources to distribute to the Southern provinces.

On this occasion, PV Oil also organised a ceremony to receive the first tanker which carried the first batch of kerosene from Dung Quat oil refinery to store at Cu Lao Tao oil depot.
