Japanese enterprises seek investment opportunities

The Overseas Investment Department in HCM City held a talk with more than 30 enterprises from Japan’s Aichi province on June 2.

The talk focused on issues related to preferential tax policies, foreign exchange, and support for Japanese enterprises in production and business activities.

Enterprises from Aichi province expressed their wish to seek investment opportunities in Vietnam while Japanese enterprises operating in HCM City also asked the local authorities to iron out snags in the process of investment.

Currently, Japan has around 1,100 valid investment projects in Vietnam with a total registered capital of US$17.2 billion, making it become the largest foreign investor in the country.
