Business websites receive Gold Cup
Thirty best business websites were awarded Gold Cup at a ceremony in HCM City on June 27.
They were voted by readers from a total of 95 websites selected by organisers comprising Nguoi Lao Dong (Labourer) newspaper, the Ministry of Industry and Trade, HCM City Department of Information and Communications, HCM City Department of Industry and Trade, the Young Entrepreneurs Association and HCM City television.
The voters’ favourite site went to www.gnetmedia.net of Gnet Media Co Ltd., which received VND20 million. The winner for ‘the best potential site’ was www.gophatdat.com of Tien Phong JSC, which received the same amount.
The prize for the most excellent website advertising business in 2008 was delivered to www.samsung.com.vn of Vina Samsung Co. Ltd., and awarded VND30 million.
The best e-commerce website was www.daugia247.com of 247 Electronic Commerce JSC, which received VND30 million.
Since the voting contest was launched 8 months ago, it had attracted 85 businesses with 95 websites and over 550,000 viewer votes.
The contest aims to boost the development of internet-based business models, which is both low-cost and highly efficient for both businesses and consumers.
