SBT: Explanation for business result in Q1/2009
Société Bourbon Tay Ninh (SBT) has explained business result in Q1/2009 as follows:
Profit before tax increased VND68 billion due to the following reasons:
* Sales of selling products increased VND45,844,727,583 (1)
* Financial income VND9,079,063,348 (2)
* COGS increased VND19,157,103,597 (3)
* Financial expenses decreased VND50,603,232,465 (4)
(1) Sales of sugar increased 29% because output and selling price were higher than that in the previous quarter and other products increased.
(2) High demand of using capital
(3) High consumption
(4) Reserve financial fund of the previous quarter was VND50.8 billion.
Corporate income tax increased VND4.8 billion because the tax in Q4/08 was (-VND3.2 billion).
Profit after tax in Q1/09 increased VND63.3 billion compared to that in Q4/08.
