Economic zone to be built in Nghe An
The Southeastern Nghe An Economic Zone (EZ) in Nghe An province is expected to become a centre for foreign trade in the north central region, according to a master plan drafted by the Ministry of Construction.
Under the plan, which has been submitted to the Prime Minister for approval, the 18,824-ha EZ covering 10 communes in Nghi Loc district, six communes in Dien Chau district and two precincts in Cua Lo town will be a gate to central Laos, Northeastern Thailand and central Vietnam.
It will be the region’s big industrial, tourism and service centre, which will focus on clean and high-tech industries in combination with agriculture and aquaculture.
The EZ’s historical relic area and recreational parks will be upgraded and expanded into tourist sites, according to the plan.
