A Vuong power plant connects with national grid
The first turbine group of A Vuong hydroelectric plant in central Quang Nam province officially began generating electricity to the national grid at 10.20 a.m., 70 days ahead of schedule.
Construction of the 105-MW turbine group started in August 2003, involving construction companies and machines and equipment suppliers, such as Sumitomo, Melco ( Japan ), Power Machine ( Russia ) and MIE ( Vietnam ).
The second turbine group of A Vuong plant is expected to begin generating electricity in next November.
