US’s Tube City IMS opens office in Vietnam
Tube City IMS, LLC, a service provider to steel mills and foundries throughout the world, announced on October 10 that it has opened its first representative trading office in Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam.
J. David Aronson, President - Raw Materials and Optimization Group, said Vietnam is an increasingly important market in the Asia-Pacific region.
The steel industry in Vietnam will continue to grow over the coming years, the official said, adding that the opening of this office in Vietnam, coupled with offices in Beijing (China), Jakarta (Indonesia), and Singapore, provides his company with an excellent platform to serve its customers in the region.
Tube City IMS is a leading provider of outsourced steel services, including raw materials procurement, scrap management, raw materials optimization, slag processing, metal recovery and surface conditioning to integrated steel mills, mini-mills and foundries.
The company, headquartered in Glassport, Pennsylvania, has operations at 75 plants throughout the United States, Canada, Europe, Mexico, the Caribbean, South America and Asia.
