Automatic import license yet to be applied to some products
Automatic import license has yet to be required for imports of such products as vegetables, fruits, coffee, tea, spices, animal and vegetable fat and oil, finished products from meat and fish, sugar, candy, cocoa and finished products from cocoa, finished products from cereals, finished products from vegetables and fruits, the Ministry of Industry and Trade has announced.
Importers of the above-said products are only asked to follow the current import procedures.
This is to facilitate importers and avoid jams at ports, the Ministry of Industry and Trade says in its document sent to the Ministry of Finance, requesting the latter's instruction to the Customs General Department to follow the regulation.
The Ministry of Industry and Trade also attached to the document a list of products that required automatic import license. These include perfume, cosmetics, ceramics, glass products, iron and steel products, etc.
