Vietnam studies Japan’s business experiences
Hundreds of Vietnamese and Japanese businesses attended a seminar in Japan ’s central Nagoya city on Sept. 18 to exchange views of the efficient manufacturing philosophy of the Japanese leading automobile manufacturer Toyota .
Addressing the seminar, the Japanese External Trade Organisation (JETRO) President Yasuo Hayashi said Japanese businesses consider Vietnam as one of the most attractive investment destinations in Asia and are interested in expanding their operation in Vietnam .
He also said the two sides should exert more efforts to strengthen the cooperation and mutual assistance, particularly in human resource development and technology transfer.
Ho Duc Viet, Head of the Party Central Committee’s Commission for Organisation and President of the Vietnam-Japan Parliamentarians’ Friendship Association, said the Monozukuri seminar provided a good chance for Vietnamese businesses to learn Japanese successful business principles.
It was also a chance for them to discuss cooperation projects with Japanese partners, he added.
The same day, Viet visited car-maker Toyota and met with Masaki Kanda, Chief of Aichi province, where has a developed industry with Toyota as a typical.
Viet expressed hope that Aichi businesses would further their investment in Vietnam , helping to boost the cooperation between the province and Vietnamese localities.
The Vietnamese senior official later witnessed the signing of a memorandum of understanding between the Hanoi University of Technologies and the Nagoya Institute of Technology.
