SAP partners with Vietnam tech firm FPT Corp.

Business software provider SAP Asia Pacific Japan and Vietnam’s information and communication company FPT Corporation on Thursday announced a new strategic partnership.

FPT joins SAP’s Services Partner Program under the agreement, which would be “an important step for FPT to accelerate its expansion into Southeast Asia and Japan,” both companies said in a joint statement.

“Southeast Asia is an important contributor to SAP’s growth in the region, and we are very pleased to be extending SAP’s footprint via this strategic partnership with one of Vietnam’s leading technology services providers,” said Eric Mac Donald, president of SAP South East Asia.

FPT Corporation, with 10,000 employees, is Vietnam’s largest information and communication technology company.
