Fifth ICT in Finance Conference and Expo to open in Hanoi in mid-September
The fifth Vietnam ICT in Finance Conference and Expo 2008, which focuses on information and communications technology for the financial sector, will be open in Hanoi from September 16-19, organisers announced at a press conference on July 17.
The annual event, jointly held by the Ministry of Finance, Department of Financial Informatics and Statistics and the International Data Group (IDG) in Vietnam, is expected to create various networking opportunities for those who demand effective ICT solutions for the financial industry and world leading technology corporations to meet and share and discuss worldwide best practice, diverse experiences and latest solutions of ICT projects in the financial organisations.
High-profile speakers in finance and technology will share an overview of the current as well as upcoming ICT applications in the financial sector. Latest strategies and policies for developing, supervising and managing financial markets in the next few years will be updated by representatives from the Ministry of Finance and the World Bank.
This year, topics to be discussed at the conference include extending e-government for strategic planning and decision making in the financial sector, developing data centre and business intelligence, business continuity management and information security and digital certification in the financial industry.
Vietnam ICT in Finance 2008 Expo, to be held during the conference, will offer solutions providers and technological corporations the opportunity to showcase and introduce their latest products, solutions and models on ICT application for the financial sector.
Some 900 conference attendees and 2,000 visitors are expected to join the event
