VN-Index, HaSTC-Index on the rise
The Ho Chi Minh City Stock Exchange (HoSE) and its Ha Noi-based counterpart recorded slight increases at the end of the October 9 trading session.
HoSE’s VN-Index jumped 12.49 points to close at 1,097.36 points. More than 14.8 million shares, worth over 1.3 trillion VND (83.6 million USD), changed hands.
The day witnessed 66 shares rally for gains, 22 remain unchanged and 32 fall.
FPT Corp. (FPT), Kinh Do Corporation (KDC), Viet Lien JSC (UNI) Binh Minh Plastics (BMP) were named on the list of shares that recorded gains.
Meanwhile, Binh Dinh Minerals (BMC), Tay Ninh Cable Tour Company (TCT), Tuong An Oil (TAC) and PetroVietnam Service and Tourism (PET) were among the biggest losers of the day.
The HaSTC-Index at the Ha Noi Securities Trading Center rose 5.97 points to finish at 349.64 points.
The session saw 4.9 million shares worth 639.8 billion VND (roughly 40 million USD) being traded.
