- March 28, 2000: Southern Gas Trading Enterprise was established on March 28.

- April 12, 2006: PetroVietnam Southern Gas Company (PV Gas South) was established  with the chartered capital of VND208.25 billion after merging  Southern Gas Trading Enterprise with Liquified petroleum gas Trading Department of Petroleum Trading Company (Petechim).

- July 25, 2007: Renamed as Petrovietnam Southern Gas Joint Stock Company with the charter capital of VND150 billion.

- November 15, 2007: Officially traded on Hanoi Stock Exchange (HNX).

- 2011: Increased charter capital to VND380 billion.

- 2015: Increased charter capital to VND500 billion.

- May 2016: Renamed as Southern Gas Trading Joint Stock Company.
