- 01 July 1980: Coal Company III was established under the Decision No.42 DT/TCCB-3 issued by Minister of Electricity and Coal;

- 19 June 1993: Reestablished and renamed as Domestic Coal Company under the Decision No.356 NL-TCCB-LD issued by Minister of Electricity and Coal;

- October 1994: Domestic Coal Company was transferred from the enterprise under the Ministry of Energy to the member unit of the Vietnam Coal Corporation;

- 25 November 2005: Minister of Industry approved the project on transforming Domestic Coal Company into Domestic Coal One-Member Limited Liability Company under a model off Parent company-Subsidiary;

- 01 January 2006: Domestic Coal One-Member Limited Company officially operated under the new management model;

- 08 November 2006: Renamed as Viet Bac-TKV Mining Industry One-Member Limited Liability Company under the Decision No.2460/QD-HDQT issued by Vietnam National Coal and Mineral Industries Group;

- 13 December 2010: Vinacomin-Viet Bac Mining Industry Corporation as a parent company was established and put into operation from 01 January 2011;

- 27 January 2015: Equitized and renamed as Vinacomin-Viet Bac Mining Industry Holding Corporation;

- 27 May 2015: Went the initial public offering (IPO) at Hanoi Stock Exchange (HNX) at average price of VND10,316 per share;

- 01 October 2015: Came into operation under a joint stock company model with a charter capital of VND1,050 billion;

- 14 October 2016: Traded on the UPCOM market;

- 28 October 2020: Traded on Hanoi Stock Exchange (HNX);
