- 30 November 2004: Central Hydropower Joint Stock Company was established with an initial charter capital of VND500 billion on the basis of capital contribution among Power Company No.2 (30%), Power Company No.3 (30%), Hanoi Power Company (20%) and Power Construction Joint Stock Company No.1 (20%);
- 2006: Vietnam Electricity (EVN) became a founding shareholder in replacement of Power Construction Joint Stock Company No.1;
- December 2006: Increased the charter capital to VND1,200 billion;
- 30 June 2007: Construction of A Luoi Hydropower Plant with a capacity of 170 MW was commenced in A Luoi district, Thua Thien Hue province;
- 2010: Traded on the UPCOM market;
- 2012: Power generating Unit No. 1 and Unit No.2 were integrated into the national power grid;
- 15 April 2013: Participated in the competitive power generation market;
- 2014: Listed and traded on Hanoi Stock Exchange (HNX);
- 10 August 2016: Listed on Hochiminh Stock Exchange (HOSE);
- 29 September 2016: Traded on Hochiminh Stock Exchange (HOSE);
- 10 August 2018: Increased the charter capital to VND1,385,985,050,000;
- 29 September 2020: Increased the charter capital to VND1,469,126,680,000;
