H.A.I Joint Stock Company explained the fluctuation in profit after tax of Quarter 4 (from 01 July 2012 to 30 Sep 2012) compared to the same period of last year:

HAI’s profit in Quarter 4 (from 01 July 2012 to 30 Sep 2012)
was VND16,217,901,962, while the profit in Quarter 4/2011 was
-VND4,366,129,575. The reason is that the Company’s revenue increased 48% from
VND152,822,380,146 in the same period of last year to VND225,901,369,315 in the
same period of this year. Therefore, its gross profit rose 47% from
VND23,772,340,759 in the same period of last year to VND36,362,339,768 in the
same period of this year. Besides, in this fourth quarter, the Company re-added
the provision for financial investment worth VND3,086,128,372.

However, profit after tax in the whole year 2012 decreased
from VND49,516,669,988 to VND40,932,009,691, or lost 17% because the Company in
2012 has not been no longer received the corporate income tax allowance, its
corporate income tax rose from VND9,244,723,590 to VND13,741,548,851, or 49%.
While, profit before tax decreased from VND58,761,393,578 to VND54,673,558,542,
or 7%.
