Shares continue to rise on improved volume and value
Shares continued to rise this morning on both stock exchanges but at a sluggish rate.

On the HCM Stock Exchange, the VN-Index gained 0.79 per cent to finish today's session at nearly 388 points. Market value soared 72 per cent over yesterday to VND509 billion (US$24.2 million), while the volume of trades climbed 80 per cent to 39 million shares.
Transactions focused on penny and mid-cap stocks, pushing many to their ceiling price. Gainers included Becamex Infrastructure Development (IJC), Binh Duong Trade and Development (TDC), The Sounthern Rubber Industry (CSM) and Viet Nam Electricity Construction (VNE).
Blue chips were mixed. Property developer Hoang Anh Gia Lai hit the ceiling while Sacombank (STB) and Eximbank (EIB) increased by 2 per cent, but insurer Bao Viet Holdings (BVH), Phu My Fertiliser (DPM) and software giant FPT Corp (FPT) declined by between 0.6-1.1 per cent.
Gainers overwhelmed losers by 149-79 overall.
On the Ha Noi Stock Exchange, the HNX-Index climbed 2.11 per cent to close today at 60.59 points.
Both trading volume and value doubled yesterday, totalling 38.6 million shares, worth almost VND322.3 billion ($15.3 million)
Advancers largely outnumbered decliners by 202-55.
Three codes saw trades in excess of 3 million, including Kim Long Securities (KLS), VNDirect Securities (VND) and PetroVietnam Construction (PVX), of which PVX was the most heavily-traded stock with 3.93 million shares exchanged.
PVX finished at the ceiling price while KLS and VND closed 4 per cent higher.
