Laos: Indochina Bank brings financing to Oudomxay
With the opening of a unit of Indochina Bank in Oudomxay, the people of this northern province can look forward to better banking services.
The bank opened the provincial unit on Friday and is the first private bank to operate in the province.
Indochina Bank's Managing Director Mr Tay Hong Heng said the bank decided to set up a unit in Oudomxay because there are very few banking services in the province.
He sees this step as the gateway to Indochina Bank's further expansion into Bokeo, Luang Namtha and Phongsaly provinces.
“Local people will be introduced to our Extreme Banking Concept – a unique trendsetting concept introduced exclusively by Indochina Bank to provide customers with the highest, lowest and safest products,” Mr Heng said.
He said Indochina Bank pays out the highest interest on fixed deposits while charging the lowest service fees through ‘zero commission and service charges for some current account services'.
“We also provide our savings account customers with safety insurance in the form of Personal Accident Insurance.”
Indochina Bank has its headquarters in Vientiane, a branch in Champassak province and three service units in Vientiane, Khammuan provincial capital, and now Oudomxay.
“Indochina Bank expects to change the banking environment in Oudomxay. In order to do so, we will provide superior delivery service to customers. In addition, we would like to introduce our innovative products as well as competitive interest rates,” Mr Heng said.
Indochina Bank is planning to enlarge its network nationwide and has scheduled the opening of other units in 2012. Mr Heng said Indochina Bank is a progressive bank that is committed to serving the financial needs of the community, helping customers, and making a real difference in the communities it serves.
“Today, we are pleased to be able to serve customers in this part of the country and we promise to expand our banking services to more places in times to come. We are truly excited about building business and personal relationships in Oudomxay and neighbouring towns through our specially trained staff.”
Along with an experienced team of bankers, the new business unit features an ATM and a VIP Premier Lounge. Indochina Bank provides a comprehensive range of services that includes savings, current and fixed deposit accounts. With the concept of “Extreme Banking” customers enjoy high interest rates, low service fees and free insurance protection that come with the various kinds of deposits.
