VCV: Business operational explanation

According to the Financial Statement QIII.2011, profit after tax in accumulated income statement as of QIII.2011 was minus (-) VND 1,119,093,541, decreasing over 10% compared to accumulated profit of QIII.2010 (VND 1,805,515,149). Vinaconex Transportation JSC (HNX: VCV) explained the decrease in operating result in QIII/2011 as follows:

- In March/2011, Vinaconex Airlines ship was repaired periodically. The Company didn’t collect revenue from operations of the ship but it must pay expenses related to ship’s operations and expenses for big repair accrued

- Interest expenses increased sharply, which made financial expenses rise.
