PVD: Explanation for business result in Q3/2011

Petrovietnam Drilling and Well Services JSC (HOSE: PVD) explained the fluctuation in business result in Quarter 3/2011:

- In Quarter 3/2011, Profit after tax of the parent company PV Drilling was VND274.83 billion, increasing VND73 billion (+36.3%) compared to VND201.69 billion in Quarter 3/2010, mainly because the parent company increased profits from subsidiaries (An increase of VND59 billion) and reduced interest expense thanks to the diminution in foreign currency interest rate by the Vietnam State Bank, and the balance of debt decreased VND25 billion.
