MHC: Explanation for business result in QII/2011

Hanoi Maritime Holding Company (HOSE: MHC) explained the fluctuation in the parent company’s business results in Quarter II/2011:

• Total revenue from sales, financial activities and other incomes: VND1,267,289,736

• Loss in Quarter II/2011: -VND1,143,768,425

• Loss in Quarter II/2010: -VND7,595,949,177

• In Quarter II/2011, the Company’s loss was lower than the loss in the same period of 2010 because the Company restructured its organization and operations, the parent company almost never had trade activities, and expenses mainly arose from interest cost, administrative expense of the parent company. While, in Quarter II/2010, the Company was selling clearance 02 ships so that there were many expenses.
