Shares end the week in red

The benchmark for the HCM Stock Exchange VN-Index closed at 409.20 points, a decrease of 0.9 per cent. Decliners outnumbered advancers by 127-79.

 

 

 

 

 

 

Trading value, however, climbed by 7 per cent over yesterday's session to VND369.5 billion (US$17.9 million) on a volume of 18.9 million shares.

Blue chips tumbled, with six out of the 10 leading shares losing between 0.5-4.1 per cent.

Meanwhile, Phu My Fertilisers (DPM), software giant FPT (FPT) and Sacombank (STB) closed unchanged, and only property developer Hoang Anh Gia Lai (HAG) inched ahead - by 0.6 per cent.

STB was the most-active share on the southern bourse, with nearly 1.5 million shares exchanged.

On the Ha Noi Stock Exchange, the HNX-Index dived 0.66 per cent to conclude the session at 70.88 points.

The number of losers doubled that of gainers.

The value of trades dipped 20 per cent from yesterday's level to VND156.5 billion ($7.6 million), while volume declined by 17.2 per cent to 14.5 million shares.

Kim Long Securities Company (KLS) was traded with the highest volume of 1.35 million shares changing hands.
