TIX: Explanation for business result in Q1/2011

Tan Binh Import – Export Joint Stock Corporation (TANIMEX) (HOSE: TIX) explained fluctuation in business result in Quarter 1/2011 compared to the same period last year:

• Profit after tax in Quarter 1/2011: VND24,354,484,735

• Profit after tax in Quarter 1/2010: VND18,491,854,406

• Profit in Quarter 1/2011 increased 31.7% from Quarter 1/2010.

Reason:   

In Quarter 1/2011, total revenue was VND323,479,777,897, 88% higher than the comparable period in the prior year. Therefore, Profit before tax was up 40.9% and Profit after tax increased 31.7%.
