Vietnam Military Bank to open branch in Laos
The Vietnam Military Bank (MB) will open its branch in Laos at the end of this month with the initial investment of US$ 12 million. This is the first step of the MB in the Indochinese market.
Speaking at the license hand-over ceremony, the Lao Deputy Minister of Planning and Investment Thongmy Phomvisay pledged to create the best possible conditions for the MB to operate.
MB's President Le Van Be thanked the Laotian State and Government for their help and promised to serve customers as soon as possible for the benefit of economic development in Laos.
MB has a charter capital of around US$272 million and property worth US$5 billion.
On the date of 4th, November, 1994, the Military Commercial Joint Stock Bank (MB) was established and officially operated. Since then, the MB has been one of leading commercial joint-stock banks in Vietnam.
The MB does not only serve as a bank but also grows to a financial group that is armed by effectively-operated member firms.
The MB has achieved and maintained the on-going trust from customers, partners and investors with its sustainable development and high growth rate.
