Retail gas price falls by VND10,000
Reduction of gas prices attributed to the Ministry of Finance’s decision to down import tax of gas
The retail price of a 12kg gas bottle has fallen by VND8, 000-10,000 following a decision from the Ministry of Finance.
The Ministry has decided to reduce the import tax of gas products from 5 percent to 2 percent from January (While petroleum gas and hydrocarbon gas have no imported tax).
This decision has had a positive effect on the market. Retail stores reduced their prices by VND8,000-10,000 for a gas bottle of 12 kg. Customers will buy a bottle of gas (12 kg) for around VND322,000.
