Vietnamese enterprises keen on Cuban market

Many Vietnamese businesses are now highly interested in investments in Cuba in the near future, according to the Department of American Markets under the Ministry of Industry and Trade.

Cuba is showing signals that it is opening its market, promising many prospects for investment.

The Department of American Markets recently held a trade and investment forum in the Cuban capital city of Havana in an effort to assist Vietnamese businesses in seizing new investment opportunities arising from recent economic reforms in Cuba.

Participating in the forum were enterprises in the fields of textiles and garments, shoes, wooden furniture, processed food, chemicals, real estate, minerals, construction materials, tourism, tissues, toilet paper, and construction paint.

At the forum, businesses from both countries also met each other, explored each other’s operations, and sought commitments for future cooperation in the field of investment.
