AGD: Receiving a certificate of Marine Stewardship Council
Godaco Seafood Joint Stock Company (HoSE: AGD) has announced GODACO_SEAFOOD received a certificate of Marine Stewardship Council (MSC) as follows:
* On 30 June 2010, GODACO_SEAFOOD received the Certificate No. MSCI0123 for clam product.
* On 10 November 2009, World Wide Fund For Nature disclosed feeding and exploitation of clam product at Ben Tre received a MSC certificate on September 11, 2009.
* To receive the certificate, the company and the exploitation area have to ensure the following terms:
* Status of aquatic product: Exploitation and production have to ensure to not lead excessive exploitation or decline of the source; Or exploitation has to ensure conditions to restore the source for declined sources.
* Effect of the exploitation on environment: The exploitation and production have to ensure structure, production capacity, functions and biodiversity of ecosystem, not catching prohibited species, mammal and seabirds.
* Administration system: The system has to obey the local, national and international Laws and Standards; Combining with the regulations to lead the usage to steady development.
* Products certificated MSC will sell at higher price and value.
